Mindfulness ✪

To be conscious or aware of something

James Clear put this in his newsletter a month or so ago and I think it's a good reminder for you to reflect on for yourself

"I have learned that whenever I think 'I don't have enough time to do that' what I usually mean is 'I don't have enough energy' or 'I am not actually interested in doing this'. What I need to do a better job of is not managing my time, but rather caring for myself and identifying my true interests. When I am well rested and working on something I am genuinely excited about, finding time is rarely a problem".

I finally am going after my Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist goal and actually studying for this certification this year after years of saying I would. Even though I just came across this quote after I'm already over a quarter of the way into studying, I think it absolutely is the rationale for why this year I'm finally able and want to study for my CSCS.

Is there something like this you can apply in your own life?

Mentionable ✪

Refer to something briefly without going into detail. Important or noteworthy, memorable

How to Beat Any Addiction, with Dr. Anna Lembke, Author of Dopamine Nation another Jillian Michaels podcast that was a really fascinating listen. This doctor struggled with some massive drug addiction and was able to overcome it, but has since studied the principles of addiction whether it's food, drugs, or whatever else and I found this to be a really eye opening conversation. She also has a program to help people lose weight that she talks about in this episode and I think if you've ever wanted to lose weight, this one is worth a listen for a new perspective on why things may have not 'worked' for you in the past.

Motivation ✪

Meant to inspire: being mentally stimulated to do or feel something

Let's round it out with another quote from Mr. Clear:

"If you want a recipe for unhappiness, spend your time accumulating a lot of money and let your health and relationships deteriorate." — James Clear
