I’ve been working through Yale’s free Science of Well-Being Course and one of the first lessons covered is around savoring. “Savoring is the act of stepping outside of an experience to acknowledge it and appreciate it.”

I’ve decided February 2023’s theme will be food and savoring really comes into play as a key to health eating patterns! Truly enjoying your food and all of the sensations from the taste, smell, texture, etc. can help us to slow down our eating and allow our digestive system to not be overloaded all at once.

This week, try to find an experience (maybe it’s your meals every day) to savor in. Take your time & fully enjoy it.
